THE 1982 ROOM
The 1982 dining room takes its name from an extraordinary wine vintage year, which produced some of the finest wines of the 20th century. These wines were of exceptional quality in Bordeaux, the Douro Valley, and various regions of Italy. Collectors and connoisseurs highly seek after these wines, as they are drinking well and continue to command high prices.
The 1982 is located on the lower ground floor, looking into the wine cellar.
Up to 16 guests can sit around our bespoke table. The room is perfect for an unforgettable, immersive experience, watching the team of chefs work in the central kitchen.
THE 1945 ROOM
The 1945 is the largest private dining room, located on the lower ground floor, looking into the wine cellar.
Up to 20 guests can sit around our beautiful bespoke table. The room is perfect for that special celebration, with its own bar, double sliding entrance doors and a view into our wine cellar.
The 1945 is named after what was, without doubt, the Bordeaux vintage of the century. No vintage in the post-war era enjoys the reputation that 1945 does. The celebration of the end of the war, combined with the fact that the weather was remarkable, produced one of the smallest, most concentrated crops of grapes ever seen.

The Cellar is an exclusive private dining space in Ryde, Isle of Wight, featuring two beautifully designed rooms—The 1945 Room and The 1982 Room. Each offers an intimate setting with views into the wine cellar, exceptional food, and a unique speakeasy atmosphere.

The 1945 Room: Up to 20 guests (10 minimum)
The 1982 Room: Up to 16 guests (8 minimum)
Each room features a bespoke dining table and elegant design inspired by iconic wine vintages.

Lunch: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm (departure by 5:00 pm)
Dinner: 6:00 pm – 12:00 am (departure by 12:30 am)

Item descriptionYes. A £10 non-refundable deposit per guest is required to confirm your reservation.

Bills can only be split up to two ways, unless payment is made in advance of your booking.

A pre-order is required at least 5 days before your event. We can also provide name cards with each guest’s menu selection, if requested within the same timeframe.

Yes—with some limitations:
Allowed: Balloons, table decorations (must be removed afterward)
Provided: Elegant glass oil lamps
Not allowed: Confetti, glitter, party poppers, or indoor fireworks

Yes. You’re welcome to play your own playlist via our Sonos music system.

Unfortunately, disabled access is not available to The Cellar. However, we will do our best to assist guests with mobility needs.
