Book a table.

Tables of one to four can be cancelled free up to the day of your booking. For five or more, card details are taken on booking; cancellations within 48 hours incur a £15 per guest charge, and no-shows are charged the full menu price.

For a table, book as usual and mention the voucher; it comes off the bill. For afternoon tea, Thompson’s, the festive menu or a wine evening, call 01983 526118 to book, and we’ll take the voucher in place of payment.

We don’t have on-site guest parking. There are two large public car parks within a two-minute walk, one directly opposite the restaurant.

Garden tables depend on the weather. If conditions look problematic on the morning of your booking we’ll be in touch; we can’t always guarantee an inside table during busy services.

Tell us about allergies or dietary needs when you book; there’s a field in the form. For complex requirements, call ahead and we’ll plan with the kitchen.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the restaurant. Mention you’re bringing one when you book so we can allocate a suitable table.

Thompson’s, the tasting menu in The Cellar, runs on selected dates at lunch and dinner. Book from the Thompson’s page, where the dates open the right booking form. It’s a set menu; dietary requirements need at least 72 hours’ notice.
